As part of its preventative maintenance program, the TTC continues to schedule monthly overhead-wiring inspections “to ensure reliable streetcar service.”
From 11 p.m. Monday, February 2 until 4 a.m. Tuesday, February 3 and continuing overnight nightly, its crews are inspecting the overhead on Spadina Avenue and Spadina Crescent between Bloor and Adelaide streets west.
It’s replacing streetcars with shuttle buses along these routes north of Queens Quay West:

along their regular path southward along Lower Spadina Avenue.
Southbound cars skip their regular stops
- in Spadina Station streetcar terminal,
- on Spadina Avenue beyond Sussex Avenue and Harbord Street, at Willcocks Street, beyond College and Nassau streets and Dundas Street West, across from Sullivan Street, beyond Queen Street West and at King and Front streets west and
- on Lower Spadina Avenue at Fort York Boulevard.
Instead, eastbound cars pick up passengers at a temporary stop
- in Spadina / Queens Quay Loop.
Shuttle buses replace the cars north of Queens Quay West.
Westbound cars operate along their regular path to Spadina / Queens Quay Loop, then detour:
northward into the loop,

Shuttle buses replace the cars north of Queens Quay West. Westbound streetcar passengers may board northbound buses in Spadina / Queens Quay Loop.

eastward along Queens Quay West; and then
northward into Spadina / Queens Quay Loop,
