
Metrolinx continues construction to improve service along the 01 Lakeshore West line as part of the GO Expansion Program.
Starting 12:01 a.m. Friday, May 22, the City of Burlington and the Town of Oakville are closing
- Burloak Drive between Harvester Road / Wyecroft Road and Prince William Drive / Superior Court
to accommodate Metrolinx contractors who are building an overpass to carry GO Transit trains over the roadway.
Oakville Transit is detouring buses along this route, while the street is closed:
- 14 Lakeshore West.
The Oakville transit agency is also operating express shuttle buses between Appleby GO Station and the Rio Can Centre Monday-to-Friday evenings and all day Saturdays and Sundays.

This phase of construction on Burloak Drive and the resulting Oakville Transit service changes continue until June 1 (6 a.m.).
Due to more traffic travelling along other nearby arterial roads during the Burloak closure, Burlington Transit is reminding passengers to expect delays along these routes:
- 4 Central;
- 10 New Maple;
- 11 Sutton - Alton; and
- 25 Walkers.
GO Transit it temporarily cancelling service along the 01 Lakeshore West line Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 and Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, to accommodate the Burloak Drive construction.
Metrolinx and GO plan to accommodate more passengers and increase service along the Lakeshore West line, as part of their GO Expansion Program (formerly “regional express rail”).

From 12:01 a.m. Friday, May 22 until 6 a.m. Monday, June 1, Oakville Transit is detouring buses along both branches of the route:
- the 14 branch; and
- the 14A branch.
From 12:01 a.m. Friday, May 22 until 6 a.m. Monday, June 1, eastbound buses operate along their regular path to Fairview Street and Appleby Line, then detour:
southward along Appleby;
eastward along New Street; and then
northward along Burloak Drive to Great Lakes Boulevard,

RioCan Centre express
From Friday, May 22 until Sunday, May 31, Oakville Transit operates express buses between Appleby GO Station and the RioCan Centre.
Eastbound buses start their trips in Appleby GO Station bus terminal at platform 4, then proceed:
westward along Fairview Street;
northward along Appleby Line;
eastward along Harvester and Wyecroft roads;
northward through the RioCan Centre; and then
westward along Red Oak Boulevard to South Service Road,
ending their trips.Buses pick up passengers only in Appleby GO Station bus terminal. They drop off passengers only on Red Oak at South Service.
Westbound buses start their trips n Red Oak Boulevard at South Service Road, then proceed:
southward along South Service;
westward along Wyecroft and Harvester Roads;
southward along Appleby Line;
eastward along Fairview Street; and then
northward into Appleby GO Station bus terminal,
ending their trips at platform 4.Buses pick up passengers only on Red Oak at South Service. They drop off passengers only in Appleby GO Station bus terminal.
Express buses operate:
- Mondays to Fridays: 7:10 until 10:45 p.m.;
- Saturdays: 8 a.m. until 10:45 p.m.; and
- Sundays: 8 a.m. until 7:50 p.m.
