
Metrolinx continues construction to improve service along the 01 Lakeshore West line as part of the GO Expansion Program.
This Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, GO Transit buses replace trains along the 01 Lakeshore West line to accommodate the Metrolinx construction. GO buses operate between West Harbour and Bramalea GO stations, stopping only at Aldershot, Burlington, Oakville and Clarkson GO stations.
Trains operate all day Saturday and Sunday between Niagara Falls and Aldershot GO stations. However, trains that regularly begin or end at Confederation and West Harbour GO stations will not operate. Trains also operate between Mimico GO Station and Union Station.
No GO-train service is available at Appleby, Bronte, Port Credit or Long Branch GO stations this weekend.
GO is also adjusting late-night service Friday, May 22.
- It’s cancelling the eastbound train that usually leaves West Harbour at 11:24 p.m. for Union. Instead, the train starts in Mimico at 12:28 a.m.
- It’s adjusting the westbound trains that usually leave Union for West Harbour at 11:47 p.m. and 12:47 a.m. Instead, the trains end in Mimico.
To accommodate more passengers than usually at Bramalea during this major track closure, GO’s adding extra trains along the 31 Kitchener line:
- extra eastbound trains start in Bramalea at 10:28 and 11:28 a.m. and 12:28 and 1:28 p.m. for Union.
- extra westbound trains start in Union at 11:18 a.m. and 12:18, 1:18 and 2:18 p.m. for Bramalea.
Sunday, May 31, the City of Toronto is closing the Frederick G. Gardiner Expressway east of South Kingsway to accommodate a special event. GO is operating four extra westbound buses from Kipling Terminal:
- 8:45 a.m. to Oakville, arriving at 9:20 a.m. This bus stops in Clarkson.
- 8:55 a.m. to West Harbour, arriving at 10 a.m.. This bus stops in Oakville, Burlington and Aldershot.
- 8:57 and 09 a.m. buses to Aldershot, arriving at 9:47 and 9:50 a.m. These buses stop in Oakville and Burlington.
Lakeshore West line train service resumes Monday, June 1, but, from June 1 until Friday, June 5, GO is adjusting the schedules for some trains along the line due to residual effects of this weekend’s construction.
If you’re travelling to and from Rogers Stadium Saturday, May 29, at Bramalea, board buses along the 30 Waterloo / Kitchener / Brampton express or 47 Hamilton / Vaughan routes to travel to and from Highway 407 Bus Terminal. Then, connect with TTC trains along Line 1 Yonge - University to travel between Highway 407 and Downsview Park stations.

Crews are also completing necessary state-of-good repair work to keep infrastructure that supports safe and reliable service.
Oakville Transit is detouring buses along the 14 Lakeshore West route to accommodate the Burloak Drive construction from Friday, May 22 until Monday, June 1.
